Maytan Music Center's Step to the Stage program is an instructional environment designed to develop knowledge, interaction, and performance for students aged 18 and younger.

The six-week program consists of coached rehearsals and clinics on different aspects of being in a band, including equipment knowledge, recording techniques, and even business aspects of music. The bands work with professional music teachers and musicians from local bands.

Each band gets to record a one-song demo, and at the conclusion of the program, perform at a grand finale concert in the Maytan Music Center Performance Hall.
