Learn the basics of playing the guitar in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Instructor Storm Stenvold uses a tested teaching method that will have you playing songs after the first session. Students will walk away with the knowledge and fundamental habits of a superior guitar player and be prepared for further study in all styles of guitar. This guitar class covers tuning, right- and left- hand techniques, fundamentals of reading music, beginning guitar chords and strums. Basic scale fingerings and related chord progressions will also be discussed. Class size is kept small to ensure personal attention while retaining the cost benefits of group instruction. There will be ample opportunity to work individually as well as play together as a class. Absolutely no prior musical experience needed. Ages 10 and up. Dust off the ‘axe’ and invest some time learning how to play guitar this summer!
